Baby photography a different kind….
Baby photography is my thing. I can usually be found in my studio photographing squishy little newborns or cute little babies in bowls. When I am not in the studio, I am spending hours designing new set-ups, making new props and buying cute little bonnets. Or, losing hours trawling Etsy and Pinterest for new ideas and adorable sewing patterns. So, when Laura from PUR candles asked me to photograph some of her candles for a website refresh I jumped at the chance. You see, I love candles as much as tiny little newborns. So much so that my house is full of candles of every shape and size. So, working with Laura was the perfect excuse to fill it with even more and shoot baby photography of a different kind.
100% natural and locally produced
PUR candles were created in Laura’s home kitchen, and are 100% natural without any nasties. Produced the old-fashioned way, Laura melts the soy wax in small batches in a pan, before adding a wonderful mix of pure essential oils. Once ready, Laura pours each individual candle and packages them by hand, right here in Ramsbottom.
Laura arrived with a bag full of gorgeous smelling candles and tea lights for me to work with. Armed with props, we spent the day together creating some fresh new images to fit with Laura’s branding. We even had candles in bowls, a la newborn photography! The studio still smells amazing now.
